C.A.M.O. (Chaos And Mystery Operation) hail from Vienna and this is the vinyl pressing of their debut five-track demo first released earlier this year.  Desolate, serpentine melodies and playfully teasing solos are underpinned by the pulsing bass and, at times, fiercely staccato drums.  They are woven into a surging, confrontational post-punk barrage bookended by clanking industrial soundscapes.

Meanwhile, the vocals – part semi-shouted tirade, part gothic drawl – inject a further notable sense of melancholic drama as they unpick themes of political polarisation and the dehumanising priorities of our corrupt economic system.  The soaring chorus of the agitated Statues Arise, and the darkly melodic fury of closer Undertow are particular stand outs.
