The latest four-track EP from The War Goes On sees the Copenhagen band continue to hone their darkly melodic hardcore punk.

Gruff vocals, drenched in pessimism but defiant at heart, lyrics verging on the poetic, growled over driving guitars that are laced with an unquenchable melancholy.  The infectious melodies themselves feel like they’ve been incubated in Southern California and then reshaped into something altogether darker and less hopeful that wouldn’t have felt out of place in late 1980s’ North East England.  The title track is a particular belter.
