Who Pays.. take the core essentials of classic NYHC and then imbue them with a notably off-kilter energy of more contemporary influences.  That is, perhaps, unsurprising given that the trio draw members from a myriad of other fine New York bands, including Scalpel, Subversive Rites, Suffocating Madness, and Vaxine.

The six tracks weave together a narrative of how the consumerist hollowing out of US society has laid the groundwork form the rising tide of right-wing extremism.  Defrocked and Sectarian Violence vividly capture the bristling combativeness and nihilistic vigour, but just when you think you have a handle on everything, they close matters with a rollicking cover of Hard Times by Baby Huey.
