‘Marching into darkness, unable to ever feel again, cast into the unknown, into nameless graves’ (Nameless Graves)

This 12-inch brings together both of Kinetic Orbital Strike’s first two 7-inchs into a single, remastered album.  K.O.S. and The True Disaster were both released in 2023 and recorded during the same sessions which, together with the remastering, ensures a satisfying sonic coherency to the collection.

Across the ten tracks, the Philadelphia band fiercely filter their Discharge devotion through a lens coloured as equally vividly by the 1980s’ Scandinavian and the 1990s’ Japanese hardcore traditions alike.  Savagely guttural vocals, surges of bleakly distorted guitars, and a relentless, d-beat fuelled rhythm section execute this vision with a brutal precision.

Personal highlights from K.O.S. are the battering ram riffage of Grim Realities and the rhythmic fury of Anguished Misery, while the bludgeoning velocity of Evil Action and the remorseless groove of the title track are the standout cuts on The True Disaster.
