Judy And The Jerks hail from Hattiesburg, Mississippi and have been unleashing their distinctively swaggering brand of high energy hardcore with a smile since 2017.  This compilation brings together the band’s seven cassette-only EPs released on Earth Girl Tapes between 2017 and 2021.

The emphasis throughout is on delivering sub-two-minute blasts that are as furious as they are fun.  The deftness with which these eruptions are constructed matches the sheer exuberance of the delivery and ensures each track retains its own off-kilter identity.  Lyrically, the observations are often as acid as they are absurd, but the tongue is never too far from the cheek. And there is also room for intriguing experimentation as, perhaps, best illustrated by the wildly escalating, and surprisingly expansive, Goblin Reprise.

The 27 tracks include 9 covers from bands ranging from Die Kreuzen to Urban Blight via Gorilla Biscuits, but it is, perhaps, the covers of Floorpunch’s True Colors and Negative Approach’s Ready To Fight that land with particular velocity.  This compilation also includes a rather cool 24-page booklet with lyrics, flyers, and plenty of live photos.
