Brooklyn street punks Vaxine are back with their first full-length, Frontal Lobotomy, and follow-up to their 2020 self-titled debut 7-inch.  Featuring members of Scalpel, Porvenir Oscuro, and PMS 84, the band forge a thoroughly modern take on the classic UK82 sound – a punchy hardcore aggression and raw, anarchic energy imbued with an innate, raucous melodicism, throw away solos, and shout-along choruses.

These qualities are, arguably, most vividly captured on the blistering opener Presence Of Oppression, the rollicking Psychotic Nightmares, and the infectious Demon Within. Meanwhile, gruffly robust vocals explore themes of the militarised surveillance state, police violence, and society’s glorification of violence as entertainment on our screens.
